e2v image sensors help Hubble spot the oldest galaxy in the universe

Image sensors, supplied by e2v have detected light from 13 billion light years away to see a galaxy of blue stars that would fit inside our own Milky Way more than 100 times. The Galaxy was formed at the very beginnings of the universe, when scientists think the universe was only 1/20th of its size today and the very first stars were being born.
